About The Position

MOSAIC is seeking a motivated Managing Coordinator to join their team. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, administration, overall operations, and outcomes of the program assigned, with an emphasis on providing employment support for refugees with lower levels of English in their first year in Canada. The Managing Coordinator will work with internal, community, agency, and funding partners, and will be responsible for creating and facilitating workshops as part of program delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Women’s Studies, Psychology, Education or a related field, or a certificate or diploma or course work in related fields, or a combination of training and experience in an area related to the program, project, or service
  • Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check required
  • Must be legally permitted to work in Canada through citizenship or permanent resident status. If you have a work permit, please ensure that it allows you to work for the duration of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct services that may include facilitating group workshops, developing training curricula, providing employment counselling support in one-on-one and group settings, conducting intake & assessment, responding to inquiries
  • Coordinate development, implementation, and administration of programs, projects, or services assigned to the position.
  • Ensure no interruption in program, project, or service activities unless there is prior approval from the manager or director
  • Coordinate and implement deliverables stipulated in contracts; inform supervisor of achievement of contractual outcomes for the program, project, or service; prepare regular reports for the supervisor on the achievement of quality standards
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, protocols, and procedures essential for the operation of the special focus of the programs, projects, or services
  • Ensure collection and preparation of program, project, or service information in a format suitable for submission to funders, consultants, and partners
  • Document client activities in database(s), or document and collect data to assist in the production of contractual reports or statistics for funders and claims
  • Oversee maintenance of client records; document client information and activities in the agency and funder database
  • With the supervisor, develop a framework and ongoing system to track and promote quality of project or program goals
  • Perform administrative duties related to the program, project, or service (e.g. processing invoices, handling petty cash)
  • Supervise programs or projects as assigned
  • Implement client recruitment strategy and coordinate distribution of marketing materials
  • May develop and deliver instruction materials to improve adult learners’ employability
  • Evaluate curriculum and teaching methodologies; regularly update instruction delivery to improve client outcome
  • Participate in partnership, departmental, all-staff, and relevant community meetings, in-service training, and other training
  • Coordinate and liaise with consultants and/or volunteers/mentors for delivery of program or project activities, as needed
  • With the Manager or Senior Manager, participate in the monitoring of program budgets, reviews and monitors the cash flow and variance to ensure programs are meeting targets
