Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, or a related discipline. Or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of progressive project management and technical experience in site investigation/remediation under CERCLA, RCRA, and state programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Environmental field experience and 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to health and safety protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in engineering or geology.
  • Professional license (PE, PG) or ability to obtain one soon.
  • 5–8 years of experience managing complex projects.
  • Familiarity with environmental data management tools (e.g., EQuIS).
  • Experience with vapor intrusion investigations and remediation.
  • Understanding of electronic field data collection and reporting technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver high-profile site investigation, risk assessment, and remediation projects under CERCLA, RCRA, and state programs.
  • Shape strategies for environmental liability management across manufacturing, power, chemical, oil & gas, and technology sectors.
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants while fostering collaboration with technical experts and senior leaders.
  • Build trusted client relationships and contribute to business growth through proposals, presentations, and thought leadership.
  • Lead and coordinate site investigations, risk assessments, and remediation of soil, groundwater, and sediments.
  • Plan and oversee field activities: sampling, drilling, well installation, vapor intrusion assessments, and high-resolution site characterization.
  • Review and interpret environmental data, develop conceptual site models, and prepare technical reports and work plans.
  • Evaluate remedial alternatives and negotiate cost-effective closure strategies with regulatory agencies.
  • Mentor junior staff, delegate tasks effectively, and engage technical experts to maximize client value.
  • Support business development through proposals, presentations, and client relationship management.
  • Champion innovation by integrating new technologies to improve project efficiency and outcomes.
