Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in California.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of litigation experience, with demonstrated success managing complex caseloads, preferably Workers Compensation defense.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of direct leadership required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise‑approved AI tools and legal technology to support analysis, drafting, workflow efficiency, and sound decision‑making.
  • Ability to exercise strong professional judgment, including validating AI‑assisted work and ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and collaborate across teams.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high quality and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of attorneys, fostering high performance, engagement, and professional growth.
  • Oversee litigation strategy, case management, and legal outcomes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Leverage approved AI tools and legal technology to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of legal work.
  • Apply critical judgment and oversight to AI-assisted outputs, ensuring accuracy, ethical use, and adherence to professional standards.
  • Promote responsible adoption of technology and innovation while reinforcing accountability and human decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with internal partners to strengthen alignment, communication, and results.
  • Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement in processes and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
