About The Position

The Manager, Workforce Planning provides strategic leadership of workforce planning and operational coordination within a large student services environment. Working across a complex portfolio, the role drives demand-based resourcing, optimises rostering approaches, and delivers insights that inform senior decision-making. This is a key role influencing workforce strategy to support consistent, high-quality service delivery and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in workforce planning, rostering, and operational leadership in a complex environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement workforce strategies using data, analytics, and demand-driven models.
  • Experience managing cross-functional budgets, financial forecasting, and workforce-related expenditure.
  • Strong understanding of student administration processes and systems within a tertiary environment.
  • Experience leading reporting and analytics functions to support strategic decision-making.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment.
  • Successful completion of all pre-employment or background checks required for the role.
  • Declaration regarding investigation for, or engagement in, sexual harm or gender-based violence.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and operational leaders to align workforce strategy with service demand.
  • Lead portfolio-wide workforce planning, including rostering strategy and resource optimisation.
  • Oversee scheduling and operational support services to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.
  • Deliver advanced reporting and analytics to inform strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Manage workforce-related financials including budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure oversight.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workforce planning processes and service delivery.
