Under the direction of the Director, Undergraduate Programs for the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences (DBSICS), the Manager, Undergraduate Programs serves as the lead undergraduate academic advisor assisting major, minor, and prospective students on their academic progress and informing them about degree requirements. Additionally, the Manager will supervise, evaluate, and train DBSICS undergraduate academic advisors in the DBSICS Undergraduate Student Affairs Office (SAO) to manage academic advising functions and achieve unit, School, and University objectives and goals. Supervise, train, evaluate, and support assigned members of the DBSICS SAO staff on academic advising procedures and office procedures. Develop, manage, and conduct campus and online academic advising sessions for new and prospective students. Manage internal office procedures, including student data management workflows, routine student academic paperwork processing, office procedures, and office communications, including making decisions on routine requests within the scope of their authority. Work with the Director, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education, faculty, staff, and other offices as assigned to resolve student issues, develop or update processes, support unit goals, and revise or create policy.
