About The Position

The Manager, TRiO Programs is responsible for all facets of the day-to-day administration of the program. In this highly student-facing role, you’ll manage program operations, build meaningful relationships with school and community partners, supervise staff, and ensure grant objectives are successfully achieved. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who excels at coordinating multiple programs and initiatives simultaneously while maintaining strong organization, follow-through and attention to detail. This is a Contract and Grant (C&G) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
  • All applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, and the university cannot accommodate H‑1B transfers or employment-based visa processing for individuals currently sponsored by another employer.
  • Position requires a valid Class E driver's license.
  • This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.

  • Demonstrated success in youth development, community outreach, or non-profit education programs.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, adaptable to both student and professional audiences.
  • Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Student Affairs, Counseling, Higher Education, Public Administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the implementation of all the conditions presented in the grant proposals and the day-to-day operations (implement, monitor, and evaluate comprehensive services to participants).
  • Establishes operational policies and procedures for the program.
  • Develops and implements project & office operations in accordance with requirements of grant via U.S. Department of Education.
  • Supervises, hires, trains, & evaluates Coordinator, Peers, & Academic Coach (including Quarterly Reviews and Annual Performance Reviews).
  • Supervises the recruitment and selection of project participants; ensures that eligibility requirements are met as defined by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Develops and facilitates workshops.
  • Manages and develops online modules.
  • Assists Director to develop academic year and summer calendar.
  • Supervises the maintenance of all fiscal transactions of the grant.
  • Keeps accurate budget records and completes monthly reconciliations.
  • Supervise the coordination and implementation of cultural activities; oversee the planning and implementation of educational activities and the academic and tutoring components of the program.
  • Develop and provide staff training and partnership opportunities; facilitates staff and program meetings.
  • Works with other programs that serve first-generation, low-income, underserved populations.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, TRiO Programs.
