JOB SUMMARY The TRiO Program Director manages grant implementation to ensure program compliance and achievement of targeted grant outcomes. The TRiO Director also contributes to the successful implementation and management of TRiO program services and objectives in accordance with the grant; the director recommends new hires, trains and supervises staff members, and performs other duties as assigned. Manages grant implementation to ensure program compliance and achievement of targeted grant outcomes. Establishes specific grant outcomes, measurements, and progress benchmarks. Authors and submits grant-related reports and administrative requirements, meeting deadlines. Manages grant implementation to help ensure the College’s compliance with the funding agency’s rules and regulations. Assesses program participants’ needs; recommends, develops, and oversees implementation of TRiO/SSS projects and activities designed to meet program needs in accordance with grant objectives and federal operating guidelines. Oversees collection of participant and program data and ensures that required reports comply with grant regulations. Develops annual budget and manages program funds in accordance with grant guidelines. Contributes to the successful implementation and management of TRiO/SSS program services and objectives in accordance with the grant. Communicates and coordinates with other College programs, departments, staff, and faculty to promote awareness of TRiO/SSS and to increase participants’ retention, graduation, and transfer rates. Oversees designated student caseload. Provides academic advising and support, transfer information, financial aid and scholarship availability, and information and support regarding other applicable processes towards students’ success. Ensures that a full array of programmatic efforts, support services, and outreach are offered to TRiO/SSS students. Evaluates the effectiveness of the program, including the curriculum of success courses, orientation sessions, cultural events, TRiO/SSS tutoring services, career workshops, and other efforts identified in the grant. Provides overall leadership and logistics of the TRiO Summer Bridge Program. Recommends new hires; trains and supervises staff members. Manages direct reports (Academic Advisor and Program Assistant), ensuring that department deliverables and quality standards are met. Conducts performance appraisals, recommends the hiring of staff when needed, and monitors conformance to College policies. Contributes to the development of direct reports by providing frequent performance feedback, opportunities for professional growth, encouraging input, empowering decision-making, and equipping the employees to succeed in their role. NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Participates in College committees as needed. Other duties as assigned. Support FSGGS as needed
