About The Position

Manager of Trade Emerging Markets is responsible for coordinating market event activities across Trade Relations to ensure pricing impacts are accurately understood, operationalized, and reflected in downstream reporting, rebate payments, formulary strategy considerations, and related business processes. This role supports management of Trade Emerging Market products and strategies by assisting with product execution, monitoring market developments, coordinating stakeholder input, tracking impacts, and helping translate emerging market strategies into operational actions. This role supports cross-functional alignment during manufacturer, market access, pricing, and pharmaceutical supply chain events by facilitating communication, tracking impacts, documenting decisions, and partnering with internal stakeholders to support timely and accurate execution.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent plus 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1 year of SME in respective area(s), prefer 3 years SME experience; and 3+ years of supervisory experience; 4 years of MedImpact experience plus an appropriate external leadership training program and internal mentorship with a seasoned leader (Dir+) that must completed within 12 months in new position may substitute for the supervisory experience requirement.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong understanding of PBM, pharmaceutical manufacturer, rebate, pricing, formulary, market access, and emerging market product concepts.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional workstreams, manage action items, and drive timely follow-through across multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to support product and strategy management activities, including milestone tracking, impact assessment, stakeholder coordination, and implementation support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex market event and product strategy impacts into clear business updates.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with demonstrated attention to detail.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to maintain clear near visual acuity at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., “close vision”) to accurately read fine print, view computer screens, and handle small objects. Requires adequate color vision and depth perception to support safety and precision in detail-oriented tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Trade Relations activities during market events that may impact pricing, reporting, rebate payments, formulary strategy, client communications, emerging market products, and related downstream processes.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure timely awareness, alignment, and execution of required actions.
  • Support management of Trade Emerging Market products and strategies by coordinating product-related activities, maintaining visibility to key milestones, tracking decisions and dependencies, and assisting with implementation planning.
  • Help evaluate and communicate the operational, financial, reporting, rebate, and formulary implications of emerging market product strategies and market developments.
  • Monitor and document market event inputs, assumptions, decisions, and action items to support accurate implementation and visibility across impacted teams.
  • Support development and maintenance of repeatable processes, trackers, communication templates, and escalation paths to improve consistency in market event response and operational handoffs.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, timing considerations, and potential downstream impacts related to pricing, rebate, and formulary activities; escalate issues as appropriate and support resolution planning.
  • Prepare concise summaries, status updates, and impact documentation for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Manages assigned staff in the segment area. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supports and enforces all company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner, taking corrective action whenever necessary.
  • This is an internal and external client facing position that requires excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills (listening/verbal/written).
