About The Position

The Reward Manager will be responsible for the administration and execution of regional compensation and benefit programs that align with IFS’s global Total Rewards strategy. This role combines strategic design with hands-on execution, ensuring competitiveness, compliance, and excellence in employee experience across the U.S. and Canada. Reporting to the Director of Total Reward, the position may oversee team members in a matrixed environment and will collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Legal, and business leaders. Manages total rewards programs impacting approximately 1,100 employees across the United States and Canada, ensuring regional compliance and competitiveness. Leads or supports total rewards projects such as job architecture, equity benchmarking, pay transparency initiatives, and M&A due diligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college in HR or related field
  • Experience working in high-growth, global or multi-state/province environments.
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities, attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing tasks and priorities.
  • Demonstrable experience working with global/region relevant current enabling systems: Thor, SharePoint
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and convincing way to colleagues and functional business and technical groups.

Responsibilities

  • Functional Lead in Administration of US and Canada benefit programs including: group health coverage (medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs, health spending accounts, flexible spending accounts, COBRA); wellness program; paid time off programs; Employee Assistance Program; life insurance; AD&D; short and long-term disability; workers compensation; and retirement savings plans including 401 (k) and RRSP.
  • Conduct Benefits enrollment orientation sessions and Open Enrollment training with colleagues.
  • Administers leave of absence programs.
  • Ensures all benefit plans are administered in compliance with company policy and procedures; plan documentation, contractual arrangements and regulatory requirements (ERISA, DOL, IRS, ACA, HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, FMLA, etc.). Maintains summary plan documents (SPDs).
  • Administers eligibility and termination process for benefits.
  • Vendor Management for Benefits Administration, and annual benefit enrollment materials and system updates/enhancements and launch to all employees.
  • Answers employee questions, resolves problems related to benefits, and coordinates claim resolutions in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Manages relationships with vendors, consultants, legal counsel, and internal and external clients
  • Processes benefits’ billing/invoices in an accurate and timely manner to ensure that accounting for benefit programs is accurate.
  • Support M&A activity by evaluating, harmonizing, and integrating compensation and benefits programs.
  • Provides guidance and strategic consultation with business leaders on Total Rewards offerings.
  • Ensures compliance with global, national, federal and local statutory regulations
  • Work with compensation surveys providing company compensation data, matching jobs, to appropriate survey benchmarks, and using data to determine market competitive offers, and company pay position against the market data. (as needed)
  • Provide guidance and consultation with HR Business Partners and business leaders to educate and communicate company compensation practices and assist with compensation related issues.
