Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 0-2 years of professional experience
  • Experience working with people with disabilities.

  • Experience supervising, evaluating, and training staff
  • Experience interpreting federal laws and regulations governing the provision of services to people with disabilities including the ADA and Sections and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the scheduling, coordination, and secure administration of exams for students with approved testing accommodations, collaborating with students, instructors, and Testing Center staff to support equitable and timely testing experiences.
  • Review, approve, track, and manage exam requests through the Accommodate Student Portal to support accurate implementation of accommodations and adherence to departmental and institutional policies.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise a team of part-time and student employees as Proctors and Testing Center Assistants.
  • Support student staff to maintain consistent procedures and smooth daily testing operations.
  • Review, develop, document, and continuously improve processes, procedures, and techniques for accommodated exam administration.
  • Develop and disseminate clear information to students and instructors regarding testing responsibilities, timelines, and expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records and protect student confidentiality in compliance with FERPA and applicable laws.
  • Manage all accommodated exams during Final Exam periods, including coordinating with campus partners to secure additional testing spaces, preparing testing rooms to support reduced-distraction and other approved accommodations, and organizing volunteers to support large-scale testing operations.
  • Oversee the scheduling, coordination, and secure administration of final exams for students with approved accommodations.
  • Collaborate with on and off-campus partners, including but not limited to outside testing agencies, Information Technology, and the Office of Teaching and Learning, to support accessible assessment practices and institutional compliance with Section 504, ADAAA, and emerging best practices.
