About The Position

TechPoint is looking for a full-time Manager of Talent Programs to own the student experience for their nationally recognized suite of talent programs, including Xtern Summer and Xtern Challenge. This role involves end-to-end program delivery and outcomes in a small organization. The ideal candidate will model values of gratitude, inclusion, grit, investment, and growth, be energized by working directly with college students, and motivated by shaping early careers. The position reports to the Senior Director of Talent Program Operations and collaborates with the Director of Workforce Partnerships.

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of experience running programs, events, or student-facing experiences where you owned the outcome.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams on a deadline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work some evenings and weekends during the summer program and to travel across Indiana during recruitment season.
• Proficient in office productivity tools (email, calendar, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation software).

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Indiana's higher education landscape or tech ecosystem.
• Experience with internship, apprenticeship, or other work-based learning programs.
• Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management platforms (TechPoint uses Salesforce).
• Experience using a project management tool to coordinate program work (TechPoint uses Asana).
• Experience with student engagement platforms, texting tools, or community management.

Responsibilities

• Recruit students across Indiana campuses through career fairs, campus visits, and relationships with faculty and career services staff.
• Sustain year-round engagement with students between program cycles.
• Partner with the Marketing team on the notification and growth of TechPoint's front door.
• Maintain relationships with program alumni.
• Serve as a visible, trusted point of contact for students navigating early tech careers in Indiana.
• Manage the student application and screening process for Xtern Summer and coordinate interviews with employers.
• Build and sustain the student community across Discord and in-person touchpoints.
• Plan and execute the full Xtern summer program calendar.
• Manage student housing logistics in partnership with the housing provider.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for students throughout the Xtern Summer program.
• Design experiences that build cohort connection across students.
• Conduct program evaluation, including student surveys and participation analysis.
• Manage student applications for Xtern Challenge, form teams, and run the student side of the event.
• Own the student-facing delivery of pilot programs as they develop.
• Partner with the Director of Workforce Partnerships to ensure the right students are engaged in each program.
• Hold introductory conversations with prospective apprentices, understand their goals, vet their eligibility, and route them to appropriate programs.
• Support adult apprenticeship partner organizations to help fill their apprenticeship openings.
