About The Position

The Manager of Patient Care will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the department(s). This includes managing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring the smooth operations of the department. The Manager oversees surgical and procedural areas including South Campus Surgery (Orthopedics), Endoscopy/Outpatient Procedure Center, Pain Management Procedures, and Pre-Procedures. They are responsible for the department’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, monitoring performance, and fostering a positive work environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years Related Experience
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure effective communication in the workplace and with patients, families, and team members.
• Driver's License with Acceptable Driving Record
• Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Within 90 days of Start Date

Responsibilities

• Recruits, coaches, and manages staff, including setting goals and objectives and conducting performance evaluations.
• Oversees surgical and procedural areas including South Campus Surgery (Orthopedics), Endoscopy/Outpatient Procedure Center, Pain Management Procedures, and Pre-Procedures.
• Coordinates patient care by managing patient flow and collaborating with healthcare providers and cross-functional teams.
• Oversees the department’s financial operations, including budgeting, productivity, and reporting.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Monitors department performance and quality metrics and implements improvements as needed.
• Fosters a positive and professional work environment for staff and patients.
• Handles patient inquiries and complaints in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Follows the chain of command process for nursing practice and/or clinical services.
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
