About The Position

At Kate Spade New York, we believe spaces should feel as joyful, thoughtful, and distinctive as the products within them. We are seeking a Manager, Global Store Design who will help bring our brand to life through beautifully designed retail environments around the world. This role blends creative vision, technical expertise, and thoughtful project management. The Manager will partner with cross-functional teams to design stores that feel unmistakably Kate Spade. From concept through execution, this person will help shape environments that are welcoming, inspiring, and reflective of our brand’s optimistic spirit. This role reports to the Director of Global Store Design and is located at our Global Headquarters at Hudson Yards in New York City, hybrid in office 3 days per week. Bring the Brand to Life in Space Translate the Kate Spade retail concept into engaging store environments across global markets. Develop thoughtful spatial layouts and design solutions that balance function, storytelling, and brand expression. Create presentations and visual materials that clearly communicate design intent. Design with Precision Produce AutoCAD drawing packages including plans, elevations, and construction details. Build 3D models and produce renderings to support design development and internal alignment. Ensure design solutions maintain brand integrity while adapting to site-specific conditions. Guide Projects from Concept to Opening Manage store design projects across multiple regions from early concept through construction. Partner with Real Estate, Construction, and Visual Merchandising teams to align design vision with project timelines and operational needs. Track deliverables and milestones to support successful store openings. Collaborate and Elevate Work closely with external architects, vendors, and fabricators to bring design ideas to life. Review shop drawings, material samples, and mockups to ensure quality and adherence to brand standards. Contribute to the evolution and consistency of the global store design toolkit.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in retail store design, architecture, or interior design, ideally with luxury or premium retail brands.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in: AutoCAD
  • 3D modeling & rendering software (Rhino, VRay, Enscape, Sketchup, 3DS Max, etc.)
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience producing technical drawing packages and coordinating with vendors and consultants.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
