About The Position

Thomson Reuters’ CIO Strategy & Operations team aligns priorities, governs execution, and provides platforms and insights that enable the CIO organization to deliver outcomes at scale. As the technology transformation agenda accelerates across AI adoption, platform modernization, and enterprise-scale change, the team is adding senior practitioners to own complex outcomes from strategy through delivery. The Manager / Senior Manager – AI Transformation personally owns delivery of high-visibility programs spanning multiple business domains and technologies. The role moves between problem structuring, business analysis, program leadership, and senior stakeholder management. It is suited to a consulting professional who wants to shape an approach and see it through to results, remaining close to the work rather than handing it off. The role translates strategy into actionable plans, leads cross-functional initiatives end to end, builds data-based business cases and performance dashboards, and maintains portfolio governance and delivery standards. It also serves as a primary point of accountability for senior stakeholders, with responsibility for clear reporting and communication throughout the program lifecycle. Depending on scope, the role may lead and develop a team of project managers.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in management consulting (Big 4, strategy, or technology consulting) or equivalent in-house transformation roles, typically developed to Senior Consultant or Manager level and ready for end-to-end ownership.
  • Demonstrated blended skill set delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives across multiple business domains and technologies, including translating data into insights, partnering with subject-matter experts on strategy and requirements, and owning end-to-end program delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including confidence influencing senior leadership, navigating ambiguity, and managing competing priorities.
  • Track record of leading ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives from scoping through delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to produce executive-ready materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong bias toward action and comfort with ambiguity over process-heavy environments.
  • Exposure to AI or data transformation programs and ability to engage credibly on AI adoption, platform modernization, or automation-driven change initiatives.
  • Experience in a regulated or professional services industry, such as legal, financial services, tax, or compliance, and comfort with enterprise-grade governance and risk standards.

Responsibilities

  • Structure loosely defined business or technology challenges into actionable plans covering hypotheses, workstreams, dependencies, and success metrics.
  • Translate business strategy into program plans and manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and benefits realization in alignment with enterprise goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Analyze data directly to inform decisions; build business cases, cost/value models, and performance dashboards.
  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional programs from conception through completion, balancing scope, risk, budget, and timeline.
  • Maintain governance structures, operating rhythms, PMO standards, tooling, and methodologies across the portfolio.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies that could affect delivery, and provide thought leadership to navigate complexity.
  • Move flexibly between programs and responsibilities as priorities shift; where scope requires, lead and develop a team of project managers.
  • Manage senior stakeholders, run steering committees, influence VP-level decision-making, and reconcile competing priorities across business and technology leaders.
  • Serve as the primary accountability point for senior stakeholders, providing timely status reporting and clear communication throughout the program lifecycle.
