•$110,000 - $175,000

About The Position

The Manager, Sales Development will lead the founding cohort of technically fluent BDRs, recruiting, onboarding, certifying, and coaching them to Blitzy’s standards. This builder and player-coach role will install and refine the team’s initial playbook, standards, and tools, and make the sales development motion repeatable. The goal is to produce high-quality pipeline that converts through a team that ramps quickly and remains with the company. The manager reports to the VP of Business Development and partners closely with Account Executives, Enablement, RevOps / Sales Productivity, and Recruiting. The role also supports career development into AE and other GTM positions.

  • Ability to teach a rigorous discovery motion, including MEDDPICC and the pain funnel, and certify representatives on tape.
  • Comfort with a technical, enterprise, high-ACV sales motion and ability to coach representatives to speak credibly with engineering leaders and CTOs.
  • Data-driven coaching instincts and experience with Gong and HubSpot; ability to inspect behavior, not just activity.
  • Builder’s mindset, ability to help create processes, maintain high standards, and iterate, along with low ego, high curiosity, and a championship mentality.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior SDR/BDR leadership at an enterprise SaaS company or technical platform.
  • Familiarity with modern software-development concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Coach daily and run weekly 1:1s covering scorecards, a focused skill area such as calls, objections, or messaging, and pipeline; document and email coaching notes on every opportunity.
  • Own and routinely inspect the metrics funnel, including activity, connect rate, meetings booked to accepted (NBM), NBM conversion, pipeline generated, and attainment.
  • Run the accepted-NBM / quota-relief workflow against the objective rubric and audit approvals for consistency.
  • Protect the handoff by spot-checking transitions, triaging drop-off, and partnering with AEs to remove poor-quality pipeline, elevate good pipeline, and rescue at-risk opportunities.
  • Ensure inbound leads are actioned within SLA and maintain accurate CRM and team data.
  • Create spiffs for special motions, run QBRs, track attainment QoQ and YoY, and help leadership evaluate tools, forecast, and set best practices.
  • Assist with career pathing into AE and other GTM roles, including the BDR → Senior BDR → AE path.
