Requirements

  • Philadelphia Food Safety Certification required within 60 days after date of hire with valid receipt of payment in the interim.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required or Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required
  • 3 years experience in a management/supervisory role in the hospitality industry Required
  • ServSafe Certification Required
  • Phila Food Safety Cert Required

Responsibilities

  • Provides management and training for food production to the Culinary, Production and Retail teams on a daily basis ensuring smooth operation and the provision of quality service.
  • Directs all employees involved in receiving and storage of food and non-food supplies.
  • Works with all suppliers to ensure that all product specifications and contract pricing is met and maximized.
  • Works with TUHS system standard team developing product specification for the TUHS Health System.
  • Develops menus and recipes and prepares production schedules.
  • Participates in policy decisions and overall management of the Department of Hospitality & Nutrition Services.
  • Provides patients, visitors, and coworkers with outstanding customer service.
