About The Position

The Manager, Reliability Quality leads the motorcycle reliability function within Product Quality team and is responsible for ensuring products meet customer and corporate expectations for quality, durability, and reliability throughout the product lifecycle. This role develops reliability strategies, drives risk reduction activities during product development, and leverages test, manufacturing, and warranty data to improve field performance. The position provides leadership for the reliability quality team while partnering closely with Product Development, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Service organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in reliability engineering, quality engineering, product validation, or product development.
  • Experience leading technical teams and driving cross-functional problem solving.
  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles, DFMEA, Design Verification & Validation (DV/PV), statistical analysis, and root cause methodologies.
  • Experience utilizing product test, manufacturing, and warranty data to improve product reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Reliability, Quality, or related field
  • Automotive, powersports, or other durable goods industry experience.
  • APQP and AIAG-VDA FMEA experience.
  • Reliability growth, durability testing, and warranty analytics experience.
  • ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Certified Functional Safety Engineer as a preferred certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead reliability engineering activities across new product development, validation, launch, and field performance monitoring.
  • Define product reliability requirements, targets, metrics, and validation strategies.
  • Drive application of reliability engineering tools including DFMEA, risk assessment, root cause analysis, reliability growth, and statistical methods.
  • Ensure connectiveness and consistency from internal and supplier DFMEA, DVP&R’s, and internal and supplier PFMEA’s
  • Lead analysis of reliability test results, manufacturing quality data, customer feedback, and warranty performance to identify and mitigate product risks.
  • Partner with engineering teams to develop robust validation plans and ensure reliability requirements are achieved prior to production release.
  • Implement lessons learned and field performance insights into future product development programs.
  • Further develop reliability metrics, dashboards, and reporting for product quality performance.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop reliability engineering talent.
  • Owns rules and procedures for Functional Safety, planning and coordinating the safety activities, maintaining the safety plan, and conducting confirmation reviews
  • Drive continuous improvement of reliability engineering processes, methods, and capabilities.
  • Support ISO 9001 quality management requirements and Product Quality objectives.
