About The Position

Roblox is seeking an engineering leader to join its Site Reliability Team and help ensure its systems meet high standards of performance, reliability, and efficiency. The Engineering Manager will guide the evolution of systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust infrastructure that supports platform growth and Roblox’s goal of reaching one billion daily active users. The role focuses on improving system reliability, maintaining production health, and developing production guardrails for scalable and reliable service operations. The position reports directly to the Head of Reliability Engineering.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing engineering teams.
In-depth knowledge of large-scale distributed systems and infrastructure.
Strong foundation in software engineering principles and practices.
Extensive experience guiding teams in designing and implementing scalable systems and robust architectures that manage growth, maintain performance under varying loads, and remain resilient and adaptable.
Over 3 years of experience in engineering management roles, with a track record of leading successful projects and teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong technical skills and a hands-on approach to achieving team objectives.
Skills in project management, strategic planning, and developing detailed delivery roadmaps.
