Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • At this time, EFW will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 2-4 years of experience in transportation, logistics, procurement, project management, or other transportation business or activity with a clear understanding of multiple modes and services within the transportation/logistics industry.
  • However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and implement new vendors to support EFW business activities as necessary.
  • Understand the EFW carrier development team operations system and capabilities as it relates to vendor management including rates, selection, and payment.
  • Maintain knowledge of current, historical, and industry trends relating to cost of transportation
  • Provide guidance, procedures, and communication to various operations groups on the utilization of approved carriers.
  • Participate in regular compliance reviews of vendor contracts and relationships, including scorecard metrics and QBRs.
  • Perform regular site visits and audits of EFW agent locations.
  • Communicate EFW processes, procedures, and expectations to the EFW agent network.
  • Drive, support, and implement all initiatives driven by the EFW Strategic Plan.
  • Collaborate with various departments to establish best practices and promote cross-training and cross-functional team building.
  • Maintain good communication and positive relationships with employees to promote team satisfaction and retention.
  • Responsible for adhering to and actively participating in EFW’s standard Performance Management process.
  • Ensure safety methods and programs are implemented and maintained.
  • Support and promote company core values.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
