About The Position

The Manager of Automation and Maintenance provides site-level ownership and technical leadership for automation, electrical, and data systems supporting operations at the Bothell R&D site. The role applies subject matter expertise to system design, integration, and continuous improvement to enable reliable operations, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decisions. It operates with substantial independence and technical responsibility as a senior individual contributor, without direct people-management accountability, and partners with other GWE sites to standardize solutions. The position leads technical initiatives and influences stakeholders across engineering, operations, vendors, and leadership. It defines standards, strategies, and technical roadmaps; translates business needs into technology strategy and investment priorities; advances digital transformation; establishes data governance and analytics frameworks; and integrates enterprise platforms such as CMMS, BMS, and IoT systems. It also contributes to global engineering standards and best practices. The role is based on-premise at the Bothell R&D site. Work includes a day shift, with occasional after-hours or weekend response for onsite support, facility incidents or excursions, planned shutdowns, and project execution. Periodic travel may be required. The work environment may include laboratories, mechanical and electrical rooms, maintenance shops, shipping and receiving areas, service corridors, offices, and manufacturing environments. Applicable gowning procedures and personal protective equipment are required in designated areas.
