About The Position

Capital One is seeking a Manager of Project Management for People Tech to lead strategic, high-priority projects that drive meaningful business outcomes. The role involves end-to-end delivery of moderate to large complex projects and programs, balancing scope and timelines, and creating structure in ambiguous, fast-paced environments. The manager will work with cross-functional stakeholders and leaders across the company to evolve People Tech and deliver against business needs. The position also includes mentoring, developing, and growing a team of associates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 6 years of project management experience.
• At least 2 years of Jira experience.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA).
• 7 or more years of project management experience.
• 1 or more years of people management experience.
• PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderate to large complex projects and programs, providing strategic direction to teams, peers, and direct reports.
• Design, develop, and adapt project plans in a fast-paced environment, revising requirements as needed to meet shifting goals.
• Ensure comprehensive project documentation and governance to proactively manage risks and support on-time delivery.
• Apply problem-solving and analytical skills to align project execution with business intent.
• Act as a strategic and tactical thought partner to project customers and cross-functional teams to drive seamless delivery.
• Build relationships and use communication skills to inform, align, and influence stakeholders at all levels across the company.
• Implement clear frameworks and organization to manage work within complex workstreams.
• Mentor, develop, and grow a team of associates.
