About The Position

As a Manager, Project Management at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute high-priority projects for the company, working with stakeholders across the organization to deliver results. The role is hybrid and requires adherence to Capital One’s policy on required on-site presence at the designated office location.

You will lead moderate to large, complex projects and programs, providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reports. The role calls for strong project management, communication, influencing, and partnership skills, as well as the ability to establish structure in a dynamic environment and coach and develop associates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 5 years of project or process management experience.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to quickly establish structure in a dynamic, complex environment.
• Excellent communication and partnership skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels and managing, informing, and influencing outcomes.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree.
• At least 7 years of project or process management experience.
• At least 1 year of people management experience.
• PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderate to large, complex projects and programs, providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reports.
• Design, develop, and manage project plans in complex, dynamic environments, revising them as requirements change.
• Ensure projects are appropriately documented to mitigate risk and delivered on time.
• Use problem-solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on their intent.
• Partner cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership and drive project delivery.
• Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver commitments.
• Influence project and program efforts effectively.
• Coach and develop a team of associates through leadership.
