About The Position

The Manager of the Project Management Office (PMO) in Professional Services leads the centralized PMO responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our Enterprise client-facing projects. This role oversees the definition, development and implementation of project management standards and ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations and business goals. The PMO Manager drives operational excellence across engagements, supports the sales-to-delivery process, and enables scalable, repeatable service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of project/program management experience in a professional services or consulting environment.
  • 3+ years in a PMO leadership or people management role.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification required; Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe) a plus.
  • Experience with professional services automation (PSA) tools such as Mavenlink, FinancialForce, or NetSuite OpenAir is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client-facing projects with varying complexity and scale.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of client services delivery, including financial management, resource planning, and contract compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centric mindset.
  • High proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Jira) and collaboration platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and performance tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of project managers and Professional Services solutions consultants delivering professional services to MaintainX’s enterprise clients.
  • Continuously improves PMO processes, methodologies, templates, and tools to support consistent project execution.
  • Ensure successful delivery of client projects with a focus on timelines, quality, scope, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Sales, Solutions, and Delivery teams to support project scoping, resourcing, and planning during the pre-sales cycle.
  • Monitor project portfolio performance and drive reporting on utilization, profitability, risks, and delivery metrics.
  • Foster strong client relationships and act as an escalation point for complex or at-risk projects.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, resource planning, and alignment with financial targets and KPIs.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and the use of best practices across all engagements.
  • Provide coaching and career development for PMO staff and support onboarding and training for new project managers.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, SLAs, and internal governance standards.
