About The Position

The Manager, Professional Services leads a team of consultants and trainers delivering SurePrep implementations, consulting engagements, and product training for tax and accounting firm customers. The role oversees day-to-day delivery, coaching, performance development, engagement quality, consistency, tools, working practices, capacity, utilization, and project assignments. The manager also represents Professional Services in cross-functional discussions with SurePrep product, technology, and sales teams, partners with learning and enablement teams on training content, contributes to strategic initiatives, and hires and onboards staff. The role is available at the Ann Arbor, Dallas, or Minneapolis office hubs, or remotely.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of combined experience in professional services and public accounting.
• Hands-on preparation or review of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
• Experience overseeing, training, and coaching staff.
• Deep, hands-on knowledge of SurePrep products, including 1040SCAN, TaxCaddy, and Ready to Review.
• Working knowledge of SurePrep implementation and support processes and integration with related Thomson Reuters tax and accounting products.
• Experience delivering SurePrep implementations and product training directly to tax and accounting firm customers in one-on-one, webinar, and workshop formats.
• Experience managing customer relationships through onboarding, adoption, and expansion.
• Experience representing team and customer perspectives in cross-product discussions with SurePrep product and technology partners, including testing and providing feedback on new functionality.
• Experience developing SurePrep workshop content, training materials, and internal resources for consistent team delivery.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, and/or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to achieve objectives through collaboration with peers, stakeholders, and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of approximately 10 consultants and trainers, overseeing delivery, coaching, and performance development.
• Own the quality and consistency of SurePrep implementation, consulting, and training engagements, along with the tools and practices used for profitable delivery.
• Represent Professional Services in discussions with SurePrep product, technology, and sales teams, ensuring product decisions reflect implementation needs and customer outcomes.
• Partner with blended learning and enablement teams to develop and maintain SurePrep workshop and training content for customers and internal staff.
• Manage team capacity, utilization, and project assignments across concurrent engagements.
• Co-create Professional Services strategic initiatives with senior leadership guidance.
• Hire and onboard new staff.
