Manager, Product & Pricing Operations

Salesforce•Indianapolis, IN

About The Position

The Manager of Product & Pricing Operations leads execution for product configuration, pricing systems, and operational readiness across the Lead-to-Cash cycle. The role calls for hands-on knowledge of Salesforce Product, Pricing, and Quoting methodologies and data models, along with the ability to drive cross-functional programs from requirements through go-live and explain technical topics clearly to Finance, Legal, IT, and Product stakeholders. The manager scopes and executes product configuration requirements, manages operational workflows, and ensures CPQ and billing systems are validated and ready before initiatives go live. The role considers downstream business impacts, proactively raises recurring issues and policy gaps, and recommends paths forward. The position supports release and New Product Introduction programs; manages CPQ systems, team backlogs, and cross-functional workflows; maintains product and pricing data quality; and drives process improvements, AI adoption, documentation, and change management.

  • Demonstrated experience running multi-dependency programs, such as product release cycles, system releases, or data migrations, from requirements through go-live.
  • Ability to manage scope, track dependencies, and close out work completely.
  • Proficiency with SOQL, Excel, and Tableau for validating configurations, identifying issues, and supporting evidence-based decisions.
  • Ability to communicate technical topics accurately and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to prepare written documentation and present to cross-functional partners.
  • Strong organization and experience managing multiple parallel workstreams, identifying risks proactively, and following through independently.
  • Ability to identify process or system gaps and propose concrete solutions.

  • Experience implementing a process or tooling change that improved team efficiency.
  • Prior experience piloting or implementing AI tools in a business setting.

Responsibilities

  • Engage IT and business partners to define requirements for solutions affecting product and pricing systems and processes, and help ensure program outcomes meet those requirements.
  • Validate quoting, invoicing, and provisioning systems before go-live; identify gaps, escalate them, and establish resolution paths.
  • Support New Product Introduction cycles across Product Management, Legal, Finance, and IT; track dependencies, surface blockers, and maintain shared milestones.

  • Develop documentation, training, and office hours to help teams and partners adopt system and process changes.
  • Maintain and share documentation and knowledge about process changes, system updates, and configuration patterns.
  • Configure, test, and troubleshoot within the CPQ ecosystem; improve quoting accuracy and reduce manual work.
  • Monitor CPQ system health and ensure data issues, bugs, and feature requests are appropriately prioritized and owned.
  • Translate organizational priorities into a structured team backlog, own prioritization, and communicate tradeoffs and dependencies.
  • Represent Product & Pricing Operations in cross-functional planning forums and serve as the primary operational contact for Finance, Legal, IT, and Product Management.
  • Own cross-functional workflows and maintain process documentation, approval routing, and stakeholder accountability.
  • Define and enforce product and pricing data quality standards in Org62; run validation checks, identify anomalies, document findings, and drive resolution.
  • Escalate systemic data quality issues and recommend remediation before they affect downstream systems or decisions.
  • Identify friction in the Lead-to-Cash cycle and drive targeted improvements with defined owners, timelines, and success criteria.
  • Propose and develop operational improvements, including data model redesigns, automation, and new approaches to operational readiness.
  • Identify and pilot AI and automation tools, establish a cadence for evaluating tools and sharing findings, and measure their impact.
