About The Position

The Manager, Product Ownership conveys product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing the product backlog. The role applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems and determines approaches, resources, schedules, and goals within established guidelines and procedures. The Manager maximizes value delivered by Agile teams while leading up to eight Product Owners responsible for user stories, backlog priorities, and meeting business needs. Reporting to the Associate Director, Product Management, this role is part of a product team modernizing associate- and provider-facing capabilities and platforms through strategic initiatives. It leads people development, performance, and team health, and establishes consistent product ownership practices, strong backlog quality, and effective Agile ways of working. The Manager partners with business stakeholders, technology teams, and operations leaders to ensure the right work is delivered in the right order, within budget, and on schedule. The position calls for an experienced Agile practitioner and people leader who is comfortable with ambiguity, enjoys developing others, and can move between strategy and execution. It is remote, with occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings. The schedule is 40 hours per week, and the role must support Eastern Standard Time business hours. Home-based work requires a dedicated space that protects member PHI/HIPAA information and qualifying internet service.
