About The Position

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager Supply Chain, the Manager, Procurement is responsible for the acquisition of direct and indirect goods and services in compliance with company policies, while ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and performance objectives. The role operates within a dynamic and complex environment, supporting aerospace defense contracts and actively contributing to operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Project Management.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in management, procurement, supply chain, or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to lead and engage procurement professionals to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Solid experience in analyzing, interpreting, and negotiating contractual terms and conditions.
  • Ability to perform price and cost analyses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Proficiency with computer tools, including ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office.
  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize supply chain performance in support of procurement activities.
  • Lead, engage, and develop a team of professionals to ensure high levels of performance and commitment.
  • Plan and execute procurement activities and projects in line with cost, schedule, and requirements.
  • Manage the full procurement cycle (requisitions, SOWs, RFPs, evaluations, negotiations).
  • Conduct price and cost analyses to maximize value for the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (programs, engineering, operations, finance) to improve and standardize processes.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for procurement processes and systems.
  • Monitor program performance, manage risks, and ensure effective status communication.
  • Produce and maintain performance reports related to procurement and supply chain activities.
  • Lead people management activities (performance reviews, talent development, coaching).
  • Manage budgets, workforce planning, and variance tracking for the procurement function.
