About The Position

PCI is seeking an experienced Manager, Pre-Construction Services for its PCI Sacramento 556 operations based in North Highlands, CA. This individual will be responsible for performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects, establishing labor productivities for estimates, and maintaining positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing. The role also involves the buyout of subcontractors, accountability for results to meet business objectives for revenue and margin, building solid customer relations, assigning bids, coordinating the bid calendar, and overseeing the estimating department. The position requires the use of available technology to perform job tasks efficiently and fostering a strong team environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience with PCI or similar company.
  • Experience with commercial interior construction; metal stud, drywall, acoustical ceiling scopes.
  • Current position of Senior Estimator or higher.
  • Working knowledge of all PCI applications including Quick Bid and On-Screen Takeoff.
  • Ability to work with numerous contractors and sub-contractors in an efficient manner.
  • Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specification and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work.
  • High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught.
  • Ability to train, motivate and inspire those around him/her.
