About The Position

This role involves providing comprehensive pastoral care within a clinical setting. The Manager-Pastoral Care will oversee a team of chaplains, manage the clinical pastoral education program, and ensure the delivery of spiritual support to patients, caregivers, and staff. Responsibilities include conducting visitations, managing departmental paperwork, providing crisis and bereavement care, developing new pastoral care initiatives, leading worship services, and achieving departmental goals.

Requirements

• Endorsed by Faith Group Endorsing Agency.
• 2 years' experience in a clinical setting.
• Bachelor's degree
• Master of Divinity (or equivalent) from an accredited seminary
• Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
• 1600 hours of CPE (4 units)

Nice To Haves

• 2 years' experience in a clinical setting, with a majority served in BMHCC facilities.
• >1600 hours (4 or more units) of CPE preferably in residence.

Responsibilities

• Provides pastoral care through routine and/or referral visitation.
• Process paperwork related to the clinical pastoral education program and the department.
• Provides crisis and bereavement care during times of deaths, codes, and other emergencies as well as oversees the bereavement program.
• Develops and implements pastoral care ministries in an assigned specialty.
• Provides chapel/worship services as required.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Supervise and facilitate the work of the staff chaplains delivering pastoral care to patients, caregivers, and staff.
• Manage and lead the work of chaplains, including training and staff support.
• Perform other related duties as required.
