About The Position

This role provides pastoral care through routine and/or referral visitation, manages the clinical pastoral education program paperwork, and offers crisis and bereavement care during emergencies. The position also involves developing and implementing pastoral care ministries, leading chapel/worship services, completing assigned goals, and supervising staff chaplains. Key responsibilities include managing and leading chaplains, providing training, and offering staff support.

Requirements

  • Endorsed by Faith Group Endorsing Agency.
  • 2 years' experience in a clinical setting.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Master of Divinity (or equivalent) from an accredited seminary
  • Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
  • 1600 hours of CPE (4 units).

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years' experience in a clinical setting, with a majority served in BMHCC facilities.
  • >1600 hours (4 or more units) of CPE preferably in residence.

Responsibilities

  • Provides pastoral care through routine and/or referral visitation.
  • Process paperwork related to the clinical pastoral education program and the department.
  • Provides crisis and bereavement care during times of deaths, codes, and other emergencies as well as oversees the bereavement program.
  • Develops and implements pastoral care ministries in an assigned specialty.
  • Provides chapel/worship services as required.
  • Completes assigned goals.
  • Supervise and facilitate the work of the staff chaplains delivering pastoral care to patients, caregivers, and staff.
  • Manage and lead the work of chaplains, including training and staff support.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
