About The Position

This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training plans for Walmart Private Fleet drivers, ensuring they meet all safety and operational standards. The role involves managing learning activities, collaborating with stakeholders on content creation, and overseeing Fleet Development Facilitators. Key responsibilities include assessing driver and facilitator performance, utilizing learning systems for tracking and reporting, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations, and optimizing fleet performance through resource allocation and training enhancements. The manager will also prepare reports for senior management, research data for program improvements, and align fleet development strategies with company goals. This role requires building relationships with stakeholders, delivering complex training courses using adult learning techniques, and providing expert advice and guidance to team members. Additionally, the position involves supervising and developing associates, fostering a culture of belonging, and ensuring adherence to company values and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management, supply chain, business administration, human resources, production/operations management, or related area and 1 year’s experience in an operations/distribution/supply chain/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workloads; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees.
  • 1 year’s experience as a Walmart Fleet Development Facilitator supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workloads; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates.
  • 1 year experience as a Walmart Supply Chain Area or Operations Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates OR 1 year experience as a Walmart Supply Chain Load Manager OR 3 years experience in an operations/distribution/supply chain/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements comprehensive training plans for Walmart Private Fleet drivers.
  • Manages the facilitation of learning activities by overseeing associate training on leadership case studies or functional scenarios.
  • Connects with business stakeholders to determine training program requirements.
  • Collaborates with the design team on appropriate content creation.
  • Engages subject-matter experts to develop practical application scenarios.
  • Oversees and manages Fleet Development Facilitators, providing guidance and support.
  • Develops Facilitators and team members by providing feedback to enhance facilitation skills.
  • Assesses the team's performance in the sessions facilitated and makes recommendations for additional training.
  • Regularly assesses the performance of drivers and Facilitators, implementing improvement plans as necessary.
  • Utilizes learning systems to monitor, track, and report learning activities.
  • Ensures all fleet operations comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Efficiently allocates resources to meet operational demands and optimize fleet performance.
  • Oversees the maintenance and upkeep of training equipment and resources.
  • Prepares and presents regular reports on fleet performance, training outcomes, and Facilitator activities to senior management.
  • Researches, compiles, and analyzes data to recommend learning programs and operational process enhancements.
  • Works closely with other departments to align fleet development strategies with overall company goals.
  • Builds relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, identifies business needs, and determines and carries out necessary processes and practices.
  • Manages and delivers complex training courses by applying adult learning techniques and blended delivery methods with varied mediums of delivery.
  • Encourages participation during sessions, provides immediate input and feedback to participants, and facilitates training for highly tenured associates, including those at the Director level and above.
  • Demonstrates and applies up-to-date expertise to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans.
  • Provides expert advice and guidance to team members in the application of information and best practices.
  • Supports and aligns efforts to meet customer and business needs, and builds commitment for perspectives and rationales.
