About The Position

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Manager, Operational Technology (OT) to direct the integration, reliability, and security of mine automation, digital transformation, and mine technology systems, including automated haulage, IoT, SCADA, and digital and wireless communications. The role bridges traditional IT and on-premises mining technology deployments to help maximize production, efficiency, and safety. The successful candidate will act as a regional owner and facilitator for mining technology systems and digital initiatives, guide site leads, and support a digital transformation strategy aligned with organizational goals. They will own and maintain the site Technology Roadmap, lead the implementation and optimization of operational technology projects, and oversee the selection, deployment, sustainment, and adoption of technology systems across site operations. The position leads cross-functional teams through technology implementations and process changes, provides leadership and hands-on support for mining-related projects, and builds stakeholder relationships to understand needs and deliver solutions. It also monitors the execution and sustainment of technology changes, reinforcing system integration and performance tracking. The role requires maintaining continuity of technology deployment by directing priorities, resolving barriers, and ensuring adherence to the site improvement roadmap.

Requirements

10+ years of proven leadership experience in mining operations, operational technology, or digital transformation roles.
Strong understanding of mining systems, such as networking and data management systems, fleet management systems, dispatch, and automation technologies.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive technology adoption.
Strategic mindset with experience developing and executing roadmaps or transformation initiatives.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to balance hands-on technical support with leadership responsibilities.
Experience managing change and driving continuous improvement through technology.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a dynamic operational environment.

Responsibilities
