About The Position

Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly is a 100% employee-owned grocery chain with 10 locations in Southeastern Wisconsin. They have been awarded “Top Workplace” by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for several years in a row. The Manager on Duty reports directly to the Store Director and Assistant Store Manager and is responsible for coordinating day-to-day store operations during their assigned shift. This role involves monitoring store operations, appearance, and staffing, acting as the first line of contact for operational or supervisory concerns, and addressing customer needs, wants, and complaints. The position also focuses on promoting positive customer, community, and employee relations, fostering team cooperation, and ensuring efficient store operations.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a lead role within a retail/grocery environment.
Able to perform department operations, practices and procedures within a retail/grocery environment.
Be self-directed, results oriented, project a positive business image and lead by example.
Good attention to detail and follow through skills.
Good customer relations’ skills.
Meet physical requirements outlined below.
Must be 18 years of age to operate certain department equipment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate day to day store operations during assigned shift.
Monitor day to day store operations/appearance and staffing.
Act as first line of contact for general operational/supervisory concerns or emergencies.
Address customer needs, wants and complains that need special attention/action.
Promote and maintain positive customer, community and employee relations.
Promote team cooperation.
Perform department operations, practices and procedures within a retail/grocery environment.
Meet department productivity, policy, standard operating procedures, quality and safety requirements.
Work efficiently with weights, measures, scales and tally unit product retail prices.
Do basic computer entries required for this position.
Operate department equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
