About The Position

The Manager of Talent Acquisition and Development oversees the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of initiatives that shape the employee experience across the full talent lifecycle. This role oversees talent acquisition, onboarding, organizational development, leadership development, succession planning, employee engagement, and talent management programs that support Advia’s strategic priorities. The Manager of Talent Acquisition and Development partners with leaders throughout the organization to attract, develop, engage, and retain high-performing employees while fostering a culture aligned with Advia’s core values: Act with Integrity, Drive Progress, Build & Strengthen Relationships, and Keep People at the Core. This role combines strategic leadership with operational execution to ensure employees have a positive and meaningful experience from candidate to employee growth and retention.

Requirements

  • Five to eight years of progressive Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, or Talent Management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust.
  • Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required.
  • In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature.
  • Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
  • Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.
  • Previous leadership experience managing people and programs preferred.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CPTD, or related certification preferred.
  • Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
  • Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
  • Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
  • Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
  • Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
  • Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.
  • Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions.
  • Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics.
  • Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence.
  • Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public.
  • Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace.
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities.
  • Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and develops the Talent Acquisition team, providing coaching, guidance, and professional development.
  • Develops and executes talent acquisition strategies aligned with current and future workforce needs.
  • Partners with leaders to identify workforce trends, hiring needs, succession risks, and talent gaps.
  • Oversees full-cycle recruitment processes and ensure an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Develops and maintains proactive sourcing strategies to build diverse talent pipelines.
  • Promotes and strengthens Advia’s employer brand through recruitment marketing, community engagement, social media presence, and strategic partnerships.
  • Uses recruiting metrics and analytics to drive continuous improvement and inform decision-making.
  • Designs and implements programs that enhance employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Leads organizational development initiatives that support culture, performance, collaboration, and employee growth.
  • Partners with leaders to identify development opportunities and implement solutions that improve team effectiveness.
  • Manages organizational development programs, including mentorship, job shadowing, leadership development, and career growth initiatives.
  • Supports change management efforts by helping leaders navigate organizational changes and transformations.
  • Facilitates discussions and programs that foster employee engagement and strengthen workplace culture.
  • Develops and implements talent management strategies that support employee growth and long-term organizational success.
  • Leads succession planning efforts and partner with leaders to identify and develop future talent.
  • Oversees leadership development programs and learning opportunities for leaders at all levels.
  • Consults with leaders on performance management, employee development, and career planning.
  • Evaluates and recommends talent assessment tools, learning technologies, and development resources.
  • Supports the creation of individualized development plans for employees and leaders.
  • Partners with HR and business leaders to enhance onboarding and new hire integration programs.
  • Evaluates employee experience data and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develops programs that support employee growth, internal mobility, and career progression.
  • Ensures employee experience initiatives are inclusive and reflective of the communities Advia serves.
  • Champions programs that reinforce organizational values, employee wellbeing, and workplace connection.
  • Collaborates with executives and leaders to align people strategies with business objectives.
  • Establishes metrics and reporting that measure talent acquisition effectiveness, employee engagement, retention, leadership readiness, and organizational health.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiencies within people programs.
  • Manages departmental budgets, vendor relationships, and external partnerships related to talent and development initiatives.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies impacting talent and organizational development.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Additionally, all employees must follow policies and procedures to minimize risk by exercising judgment, raising questions to management, and adhering to policy guidelines.
