About The Position

Bristol Farms is seeking a passionate and experienced Manager of Perishables to oversee multiple departments including Bakery & DSD, Café, Catering, Cheese, Deli, Meat, Produce, Bulk, Seafood, & Sushi. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining food safety standards, document control, and ensuring consistent administration of company policies and procedures in collaboration with the Store Director and Department Managers. The ideal candidate will embody a spirit of entrepreneurship, mutual respect, and a 'YES!' attitude, with a strong focus on creating an extraordinary guest experience through exceptional service and a love for food.

Requirements

  • Available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, potentially totaling 45 or more hours per week.

  • Three or more years of experience in a role that requires frequent interaction with customers, fulfilling the requests of customers and responsibility for addressing customer issues, questions and suggestions.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities for Bakery & DSD, Café, Catering, Cheese, Deli, Meat, Produce, Bulk, Seafood, & Sushi Departments.
  • Develop and maintain systems for compliance with food safety standards, including document control and records.
  • Work closely with the Store Director and Department Managers to ensure consistent administration of Company personnel, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for training and overall development of employees under direct supervision.
  • Oversee New-Hire onboarding activities for employees under direct supervision.
  • Ensure customer issues are resolved satisfactorily.
  • Manage with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and mission of Bristol Farms.
  • Identify and prioritize communications using existing tools and best practices.
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately in all interactions.
  • Actively manage staff by providing coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities.
  • Responsible for P&L, inventory management, and other budget or sales targets for supervised employees.
  • Manage labor costs, including scheduling hours and controlling overtime, for supervised employees.
  • Document violations of Company policies according to the Employee Handbook.
  • May assume the role of acting Store Director in the absence of the Store Director.
