About The Position

Bristol Farms is seeking a Manager of Merchandising to oversee non-perishable departments including Grocery, Dairy Deli, Housewares, Demo, Receiving, Natural Living, Wine & Spirits, Chalk Artist, and Price Integrity. This role involves working closely with Department Managers to ensure consistent application of Company personnel, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to create an exceptional customer experience. Requirements

  • Available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, potentially totaling 45 or more hours per week.

  • Three or more years of experience in a role that requires frequent interaction with customers, fulfilling the requests of customers, and responsibility for addressing customer issues, questions, and suggestions.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities for non-perishable departments.
  • Ensure consistent administration of Company personnel, policies, and procedures.
  • Train and develop employees under direct supervision.
  • Oversee New-Hire onboarding activities.
  • Ensure satisfactory resolution of customer issues.
  • Manage with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and mission of Bristol Farms/Lazy Acres Market.
  • Identify and prioritize communications using existing tools and best practices.
  • Communicate concisely and accurately in all interactions.
  • Actively manage staff by providing coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities.
  • Manage P&L, inventory management, and budget or sales targets.
  • Manage labor costs, including scheduling and controlling overtime.
  • Document violations of Company policies.
  • Assume the role of acting Store Director in the absence of the Store Director and Manager of Perishables.
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Follow established policies and guidelines for customer service.
  • Exhibit a positive 'can-do' attitude, treat others with respect, and adjust to changes.
  • Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of non-perishable departments.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
