About The Position

Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center is seeking a Manager of Information Services to provide oversight and technical support for the facility's computer network and all associated technologies. This role involves supporting Microsoft Windows PCs, printers, networking equipment, phone systems, EMR, DVRs, and other IT equipment. The hands-on manager will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving malfunctions to ensure end-user and business needs are met. The position requires applying systems analysis techniques, consulting with users to determine specifications, designing, documenting, testing, and modifying computer programs, and developing cost-effective software solutions. This role also includes preparing user manuals, troubleshooting daily software and hardware issues across multiple locations, recommending new software and hardware systems, and working with Corporate IT on research, bids, and purchase orders. The manager will upgrade software and hardware, maintain and monitor software/hardware components, stay updated on the latest technologies, and continuously work to improve system performance. Collaboration with management and other teams is essential, as is serving as the facility liaison with Corporate IT and participating in monthly IT Webinars. Responsibilities also include providing PC network support, functioning as a help desk, installing and troubleshooting PC equipment, resolving software issues within security protocols, performing routine maintenance on PC equipment, providing first-level support for phone and CCTV systems, and maintaining software/hardware inventories.

Requirements

  • High School Dipoloma required
  • Previous experience working in Microsoft Windows environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of general networking (LAN\WAN)
  • Knowledge of telecom systems
  • Knowledge of any other IT related equipment and IT responsibilities

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or technical degree preferred
  • Previous experience with Cerner EMR preferred
  • One (1) year experience in a health setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Apply systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specific specifications.
  • Design, document, test, create or modify computer programs related to machine operating systems.
  • Developing and/or implementing the efficient and cost-effective software solutions for a particular problem.
  • Preparing manuals and user guide for training purposes and for the use of users.
  • Troubleshooting day-to-day problems with software and hardware and fixing them in a timely manner for multiple locations.
  • Recommending the need for new software and hardware systems to the management. Works with UHS-BH Corp IT with research, bids and purchase orders.
  • Upgrading the software solutions as well as the hardware systems to solve the problems as and when they arise.
  • Maintaining, monitoring and coordinating the use and installation of software and hardware components according to company policy.
  • Updating their knowledge about the latest programming techniques and technologies.
  • Continuously working toward improving the performance of the systems.
  • Working closely with the management and other teams in achieving the organizational goal.
  • Serves as the facility liaison with Corporate IT.
  • Participates in monthly IT Webinars.
  • Provides PC network support for the user community.
  • Functions as a help desk for facility. Install and troubleshoot PC equipment. Resolves users' software related issues within scope of assigned security protocol as authorized by BH-CORP-IT.
  • Performs routine maintenance on PC equipment.
  • Provides first level of support for phone systems and closed-circuit television systems.
  • Maintains software/hardware inventories.
