The Manager of Events & Culture is a critical member of the Strategy & Culture team responsible for both the strategic design of employee engagement and the logistical excellence of headquarters events. The Manager oversees core experiences apart of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to major career milestones, while ensuring that every convening is executed with high-level production standards. This individual is a key driver of strengthening relationships between headquarters and school-based staff, ensuring that organizational culture is inclusive, identity-affirming, and operationally seamless. The starting salary range for this role is $71,305-$77,504. This is a full-time role with occasional flexibility based at HDQ with an anticipated start date of August 2026. About the Role The Manager of Events & Culture plays a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience and workplace culture at KIPP DC. This role focuses entirely on the intersection of headquarters event strategy and staff belonging. The Manager will lead the design and execution of headquarters programming, oversee high-stakes regional milestones, and manage the lifecycle experience of staff engagement. This role requires a high level of cross-team collaboration and is essential in fostering a supportive, inclusive, and joyful environment for KIPP DC’s 1,400+ staff members across diverse teams and stakeholders. Location and Type of Work This is an exempt position and will report to the Associate Director of Regional Events & Culture. As a headquarters team that is focused on being responsive to our schools and meeting the needs of our students and families, we approach our work in a way that reflects these priorities. Schools operate in person and our students and families rely on us for in-person support, and this position will regularly provide on-site support to school teams, frequently partner with other headquarters teams, or regularly work in multiple locations. Because of the nature of the work, this role allows for occasional flexibility and will be required to be onsite 4 days per week.
