The Manager of Design and Construction is responsible, in a territorial capacity, for managing and designing water transmission, distribution and storage facilities, buildings and structures upgrades, new constructions, rehabilitations, repairs and routine maintenance projects. Develops project cost estimates and provides input in planning designs for engineering projects. Leads a team of project managers, engineers, engineering technicians, coordinators, and inspectors to effectively manage, coordinate and inspect projects. Because the Authority has a responsibility to serve the public 24 hours a day, an employee in this class is expected to work extended hours and weekends as conditions demand and may be called in on short notice as needed.
