About The Position

Dynamic, forward-thinking Manager of Corporate Risk sought to oversee and enhance an organization's risk management framework. Responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact business performance. Requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to foster a culture of risk awareness across the organization. This leadership role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure organizational objectives are met while adhering to compliance and corporate governance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in corporate risk management, compliance, or a related discipline
  • At least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles, frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical, leadership, and strategic thinking skills with the ability to drive decision-making processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in relevant risk assessment and reporting tools/software.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CRM, CIA, CPA, CFA) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive corporate risk management frameworks, strategies, and policies.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize risks across various business units, including operational, financial, strategic, and compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish risk tolerance levels and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct risk assessments, evaluations, and scenario analyses to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and emerging risks to relevant stakeholders, including the executive team and the board of directors.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees to foster a culture of risk awareness and accountability across all departments.
  • Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other third parties involved in corporate risk oversight.
  • Develop and maintain business continuity and crisis management plans to minimize disruption during adverse events.
  • Manage the Corporate Risk team, fostering their professional development and ensuring high performance.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to keep the organization proactive in its risk management approach.
