About The Position

To assist us in meeting our mission, Project Bread—The Walk for Hunger is seeking a Manager of Corporate Engagement to join our team. Requirements

  • Commitment to Project Bread's mission and values, including a passion for advancing equitable and sustainable solutions to end hunger.
  • 3-5 years of professional fundraising experience, preferably managing and executing cause marketing, corporate volunteer and/or other corporate engagement events
  • A successful track record of soliciting and closing sponsorships and/or gifts at the five-figure level
  • Prior supervisory, team leadership, or project leadership experience
  • Experience developing persuasive written communications, including proposals, presentations, sponsorship requests, reports, or other donor- or client-facing materials
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent an organization professionally to external audiences
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated success building and managing external relationships with donors, corporate partners, clients, or other stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Raiser's Edge or Blackbaud NXT, Microsoft SharePoint, and Asana or similar project management tools a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of prospective and current corporate partners, including preparing and leading donor calls and meetings, and soliciting and stewarding partners.
  • Contribute to the Institutional Giving team’s $3.4 million+ annual revenue goal.
  • Lead corporate partner meetings, presentations, and engagement opportunities, serving as a primary relationship manager and ambassador for Project Bread.
  • Develop and implement engagement plans that deepen partner relationships through philanthropic support, employee engagement, volunteer opportunities, cause marketing campaigns, and other partnership activities.
  • Represent Project Bread at external events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build relationships and expand awareness of the organization’s work and impact.
  • Work with the Director of Institutional Giving to develop and execute strategies to increase corporate philanthropy revenue and strengthen corporate engagement.
  • Develop and write proposals, sponsorship requests, and other communications for corporate partners.
  • Conduct prospect research to identify potential partners that share Project Bread’s commitment to ending hunger in Massachusetts.
  • Collaborate with program, policy, communications, and development colleagues to translate Project Bread’s work into meaningful partnership and fundraising opportunities.
  • Support the development and refinement of corporate engagement materials, including sponsorship packages, one-pagers, presentations, impact reports, and partner recognition content.
  • Lead corporate sponsorship and engagement efforts for Walk for Hunger, including prospecting, solicitation, stewardship, and renewal of corporate sponsors and partners.
  • Manage relationships with corporate teams, sponsors, and in-kind vendors, ensuring positive and coordinated partner experience throughout the event cycle.
  • Develop sponsorship proposals and support employee engagement to increase corporate fundraising and participation in the Walk for Hunger.
  • Supervise the Institutional Giving Associate and overseeing the development of effective workplans to ensure execution of corporate engagement strategies to meet stewardship and fundraising goals.
  • Support the Associate’s ongoing professional development by providing coaching, guidance, and opportunities for professional growth and skill development.
  • Maintain accurate records and track partner engagement in Raiser’s Edge, supporting departmental budgeting and forecasting, reporting, gift tracking, and other institutional operations to ensure effective portfolio management and informed decision-making.
  • Support the annual Walk for Hunger, including working the weekend of the Walk (first weekend in May), and attending pre-Walk events as assigned.
  • Participate in organization-wide events and meetings.
  • Act to promote, sustain, and grow Project Bread's positive, productive, and inclusive working environment.
