About The Position

The Vice President of Corporate Engagement serves as a senior member of the Resource Development team and is responsible for developing, leading, and executing a comprehensive corporate fundraising strategy that advances the mission and strategic priorities of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay. Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), this position will cultivate and steward strategic partnerships with corporations, foundations, and business leaders throughout the Greater Tampa Bay region and beyond. The Vice President will be responsible for securing significant corporate investments through sponsorships, charitable contributions, cause-marketing initiatives, employee engagement programs, and long-term strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented fundraising professional with a proven track record of building corporate relationships, securing six and seven figure gifts, and leveraging community partnerships to drive sustainable revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive fundraising, corporate relations, business development, or partnership experience.
  • Demonstrated success securing and managing significant corporate partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Experience managing teams of fundraising professionals.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
  • Experience developing sponsorship packages and corporate partnership proposals.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, donor CRM systems and fundraising analytics.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, healthcare systems, or community-based organizations preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Tampa Bay business and philanthropic community preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate engagement strategy aligned with organizational fundraising goals and Vision 2035 priorities.
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate prospects and partners, with responsibility for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major corporate investments.
  • Secure corporate sponsorships, annual contributions, multi-year commitments, and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the CDO to establish annual revenue goals and long-term growth strategies for corporate philanthropy.
  • Develop customized partnership proposals that align corporate objectives with organizational priorities and community impact.
  • Lead corporate fundraising efforts for special campaigns, capital initiatives, and major organizational priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate executives, community leaders, and key decision-makers.
  • Develop engagement strategies that deepen corporate involvement through volunteerism, employee giving, workplace campaigns, and leadership opportunities.
  • Serve as a primary ambassador for the organization within the business community.
  • Facilitate executive-level meetings and presentations with prospective and existing corporate partners.
  • Lead the development and execution of sponsorship strategies for fundraising events, campaigns, and organizational initiatives.
  • Create innovative partnership opportunities that generate revenue while enhancing brand visibility and mission awareness.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Operations teams to maximize partner engagement and recognition.
  • Partner with the CDO to engage board members, campaign volunteers, and community leaders in corporate fundraising efforts.
  • Support campaign committees and volunteer leadership groups in identifying and securing corporate support.
  • Provide strategic guidance and fundraising support for major campaigns and organizational initiatives.
  • Serve as a strategic leader within the Resource Development department.
  • Collaborate with Major Gifts, Grants, Events, Marketing, and Operations teams to maximize fundraising opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate donor and prospect records, forecasts, and pipeline management through the organization's CRM system.
  • Prepare regular reports on fundraising activity, pipeline development, and revenue performance.
