About The Position

The Manager of Community Partnerships is responsible for developing strategic partnerships with new and existing referral sources and building long-term relationships. The individual will be accountable to drive admission growth based on Outreach’s targets. The individual will act as a liaison between the community stakeholders (“Accounts”) and the internal Outreach programs to increase access and availability of services for at risk individuals. The first objective is for the Manager of Community Partnerships to understand the needs of potential community partners and create solutions that deliver value. As an Ambassador of Outreach, it is important that the Manager of Community Partnerships through their activities reflect the mission and value of the organization and represent Outreach at key community events. The Manager of Community Partnerships will have a responsibility to make sales and obtain contracts for Outreach’s programs and services through regular and customary travel outside of Outreach’s locations. These sales are for the use of facilities for which they will be paid by the client/customer/third party for service provided by Outreach.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent required
  • 3-5 years of experience in community outreach and/or sales.
  • Driver’s License Required
  • Personal qualities of warmth, empathy and sense of responsibility are essential.
  • Flexible individual that can adjust to change.
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize, write, and deliver quality presentations
  • Time management. Highly efficient/organized.
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving and critical thinking.
  • Ability to understand needs of Referrers/ participants and match services to needs
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Great follow through on tasks and sense of prioritization.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service.
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment in making decisions that significantly affect Outreach’s business development strategy and referral growth.

Responsibilities

  • Builds referrals from a diversified portfolio of Accounts/Referral Sources to achieve admission targets.
  • Promotes Outreach’s continuum of care and promotes the different lines of business linking individuals to 1 or more services when appropriate.
  • Master’s the product knowledge of Outreach’s Programs to include the service offerings, eligibility criteria, referral process and workflows and key contact people.
  • Builds internal relationships with Program Directors and intake teams and works collaboratively to link individuals to the program.
  • Maps the assigned territory and identifies key stakeholders in target area by referral channel (i.e., Hospitals, Criminal Justice, Housing, Behavioral Health Organizations, etc.)
  • Profiles accounts to understand needs and develops strategies to achieve growth and achieve admission targets.
  • Maintains and strengthens relationships with existing accounts and prospects and develops new accounts by offering solutions that deliver value.
  • Prospects & wins new accounts by identifying leads, meeting with community stakeholders and converting from a lead into a referral source.
  • Segments market and tailors the strategy and approach by referral channel – i.e., approach may vary for hospitals versus criminal justice accounts.
  • Applies criteria to prioritize accounts and allocates resources and time to accounts of highest strategic value.
  • Builds easy referral workflows to create access and expedite referrals and admissions.
  • Achieves Triple WIN! that benefits Outreach, the Community Partner and the individuals and families we serve.
  • Builds multi-level relationships between Outreach and the partnering organization.
  • Creates and delivers effective Presentations.
  • Develops a Community Action Plan (CAP) to help Outreach achieve its growth targets for the assigned territory; re-evaluates plan on quarterly basis.
  • Effective teamwork with operations to advance relationships and deliver an Excellent experience.
  • Provides follow up to Community Partners and closes loop on referrals, shares summary reports when appropriate.
  • Handles objections and ensures that Community Partners and Consumers are satisfied. Work with internal team as needed to resolve any challenges.
  • Communicates with key Influencers and decision makers to make sure they are happy with Outreach’s responsiveness.
  • Negotiates strategically and tactically on behalf of Outreach in order to create valuable partnerships.
  • Manages the closing process and asks for referrals in order to create access and link individuals to needed programs and services.
  • Monitors results daily, weekly, monthly against target and studies variation to inform strategic direction and allocation of resources.
  • Interprets and implements management policies and applies them to strategic partnerships, referral development initiatives, and territory planning.
  • Executes assignments related to the operations of Business Development, including evaluating opportunities, prioritizing accounts, and recommending strategic direction.
  • Provides expert consultation and strategic advice to management regarding business development opportunities, market conditions, and partnership initiatives.
  • Represents organization as an Ambassador of Outreach at key events.
  • Regularly travels to community and partner sites to promote Outreach’s programs and advance the relationship.
