About The Position

The Manager of Behavioral Health is responsible for the operation and management of assigned behavioral health programs and may be called upon to provide expertise for organization policy or programming. The Behavioral Health Manager will oversee assigned program areas of operation and must be capable of independent action without losing sight of the fact that their actions at all times represent the policies, priorities, and values of Axis. The position requires a great deal of maturity, thorough knowledge of management dynamics, community relations abilities, and an understanding of the overall behavioral health systems involved in assigned service delivery lines.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in one of the recognized mental health professions.
  • Licensed or license eligible in the State of Colorado as LPC, LMFT, LCSW or PhD.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of post-graduate clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Knowledgeable regarding patient health information and HIPAA compliance.
  • Organized and demonstrate the ability to follow guidelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to be self-directed.
  • Ability to follow the organization’s confidentiality and security rules.
  • Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and ability to access the internet.
  • Ability to be helpful and sensitive to the needs of all employees, while concurrently respecting corporate policies, procedures and priorities.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Qualify for commercial vehicle insurance.
  • Maintain a driving record that allows insurability with AXIS insurance agency.

  • LAC or CAS licensure is preferred.

Responsibilities
