OUR VALUES HOPE values: Humility, Ownership, Perseverance, Engagement The Director of Behavioral Health is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations, strategic planning, and administrative functions of behavioral health services. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, participant-centered care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and organizational goals. The administrator acts as a liaison between clinical staff, participants, and external stakeholders, fostering a supportive and efficient environment for both providers and clients.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency, social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of an advanced type.
  • Master’s Degree with 6 years of supervisory and administrative experience in Social Work including working with families experiencing child abuse, neglect and mental health issues.
  • Good standing Hawaii State Licensure.
  • Over six years of post master's supervisory and clinical administrative experience in community or social service agencies.
  • Ability and organization to manage multiple contracts, large number of employees, and/or complex budgets.
  • Knowledge of area of program concentration.
  • Valid Hawaii driver's license.
  • Clear driver's abstract.
  • Use of personal vehicle to transport clients, as needed.
  • Willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island.
  • Use of agency vehicle to transport clients, as needed.
  • On-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Verification of licensure/certification will be required at time of appointment/hire, and continued employment is contingent on maintaining licensure/certification.
  • Subject to a criminal background investigation and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of convictions.
  • Successful completion of CPI classes OR other Behavioral Management certification as may be contract-mandated.
  • Successful completion of First Aid classes.
