About The Position

The Accounts Receivable Manager oversees the full accounts receivable function, including billing, collections, cash application, and AR reporting. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely receivables processes, supporting healthy cash flow, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing and collection issues. The position plays a key role in strengthening AR controls, improving efficiency, and supporting overall financial performance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related finance roles.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role overseeing AR or finance operations teams.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounts receivable best practices, including billing, collections, and cash application processes.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the accounts receivable function, including oversight of internal specialists and outsourced AR support teams.
  • Oversee billing, collections, and cash application processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and implement strategies to reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Customer Care, and external collections teams to resolve billing issues and support timely collections.
  • Develop, document, and maintain accounts receivable policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Prepare monthly AR reporting and support audit requests as needed.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, scalability, and control within AR operations.
