The Manager - Nursing - Psychiatry role is a full-time position with day shifts. Requirements

  • Bachelors: Nursing (Required)
  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE)
  • BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
  • Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT) - Compact RN Multistate
  • Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
  • Requires critical thinking skills, effective communications skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Three (3) years nursing experience
  • One (1) year supervisory experience.
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing or enrolled in an accredited program

Responsibilities

  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management.
  • Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, labor utilization and retention, payroll, and student engagements.
  • Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
  • Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance.
  • Determines and justifies needs for systems, equipment, supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and stock supplies.
  • Assesses the quality of patient care delivered.
  • Evaluates needs of patients and families.
  • Provides patient and family centered care.
  • Manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution.
