About The Position
The Manager of Endoscopy directs patient care in the department and manages its staff. The manager consults with staff, physicians, and the Nurse Executive on nursing issues and the interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. The role also maintains departmental performance improvement activities and assists with budget formulation.
Requirements
- Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification upon hire and maintained as current.
- At least two years of supervisory or management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current ACLS certification upon hire and maintained as current.
- At least two years of Endoscopy experience.
- Current PALS certification for facilities caring for pediatric populations.
Nice To Haves
- CNOR certification.
Responsibilities
- Direct patient care in the Endoscopy department.
- Manage department staff members.
- Consult with staff, physicians, and the Nurse Executive on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.
- Maintain performance improvement activities within the department.
- Assist with formulation of the department budget.
