About The Position

Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division (Reman) has an exciting opportunity for a Material Requirements Planning Manager located in our Fargo, ND facility. This position maintains production planning continuity and ensures the facility can consistently translate customer and supply requirements into an executable manufacturing plan. This role is a critical link between demand, material availability, manufacturing capacity, inventory, and execution.

Requirements

Performance Management: Ability to support employee performance through goals, feedback, development opportunities, recognition, and documented review input.
Planning and Organizing: Ability to prioritize work, estimate resources and timelines, adjust plans as conditions change, and keep assignments on track.
Problem Solving: Ability to identify problems, evaluate stakeholder perspectives, assess information, analyze risks and benefits, and support practical resolutions.
Supply Chain Management - MFG: Ability to support supply chain processes, recognize relevant systems, analyze trends, and identify improvement opportunities across materials and supplier activities.
Degree or equivalent experience desired.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience leading or supervising materials, inventory, logistics, planning, or supply chain teams in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with material requirements planning, inventory control, stockroom operations, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify trends, resolve inventory discrepancies, and recommend process improvements.
Experience using inventory management systems, ERP systems, or related supply chain planning tools.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners across operations, production, logistics, purchasing, and supplier teams.
Experience coaching, developing, and managing employee performance within a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and executing supply chain plans that align customer demand, production requirements, material availability, inventory objectives, and facility capacity.
This role works cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, Warehouse, Engineering, and other business partners to ensure material and production plans support customer commitments while optimizing inventory and operational performance.
Identify constraints, improve planning accuracy, mitigate supply risks, and drive continuous improvement across the end-to-end supply chain.
Managing staffing, development, and performance management of materials management workers. Ensuring proper labor relations.
Defining and maintaining optimal inventory levels. Performing inventory analysis and making recommendations for stock levels.
