Manager, Manufacturing Processes. Global

Amsted Industries•Jessup, MD

About The Position

The Manager leads the global Manufacturing Processes organization and its Advanced Manufacturing Engineers (AMEs), including AMEs embedded in New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. The team deploys, improves, and sustains manufacturing methods and standards used to introduce and manufacture BAC products. The Manager is accountable for AME capability, team performance, priorities, project execution, NPI manufacturing readiness, process deployment, plant handoffs, and adoption. The role leads manufacturing-process initiatives across product platforms, NPI programs, regions, and plants. It governs deployment of approved manufacturing-process standards and content, including the Global Bill of Process (GBOP), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), assembly methods, fixtures, and manufacturing-time methods. The Manager tracks adoption, addresses barriers, and delivers measurable outcomes. The Manager also creates and maintains the Manufacturing Processes expansion playbook, covering organizational, people, technical, process, specification, documentation, work center, labor method, training, pilot, and readiness requirements. The role leads the process workstream and verifies readiness before run-at-rate and operational handoff. It manages assigned budgets and resources, maintains a one-to-two-year department plan, and interprets business, cost, capacity, and customer information affecting priorities. The position works across Product Management, Engineering, AMT, Manufacturing Systems, BAC Excellence, Global EHS, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to ensure process decisions are translated into systems, equipment, specifications, training, and plant readiness. Work takes place in office and manufacturing environments, with domestic and international travel up to 20 percent.
